Increased Air Flow
Many homeowners are looking for ways to improve the air flow within their conservatories, orangeries or extensions. That’s why we have options for roof vents. Easy to install, we provide different opening options so that your customers have the choices they want.
Furthermore, building regulations have changed. Document L requires trickle vents or other forms of ventilation throughout new builds and in window replacements. Ultimately, our roof vents, Eavesflow and trickle vents help you meet ventilation requirements, while giving customers a way to deal with temperature fluctuation.
As we know, fresh air is an important component of health. Make sure that you’re installing conservatories that can incorporate improved ventilation.
If your clients are concerned about warm conservatories, you can assuage their doubts by explaining our unique ventilation system.
Improving the ventilation can help reduce damp, ensuring that structural elements and furnishings are properly aerated.

What type of opening mechanism does the roof vent offer?
Get in touch if you’re looking for either manual or automated openings. Customers may be interested in our rain and temperature sensors.
Why do conservatories need ventilation?
Conservatories are unique spaces that are often part of the garden. Every part of the home requires some degree of ventilation to help improve airflow and reducing heat gain in the summer or damp in the winter.
What is Document L and what does it mean for conservatory roofs?
Document L was rolled out in 2022 as a measure to improve the ventilation throughout homes, as a way of reducing indoor pollutants.
Now each new window to be installed must have a trickle vent rated based on its position in the household. Generally, areas with high moisture (i.e. kitchens and bathrooms) require the greatest degree of ventilation.
If you’re installing a conservatory and the adjoining room does not have a source of ventilation, the conservatory will need purge ventilation that includes external doors or sash windows, or hinged windows*.
In conservatories of over 30m2, the Eavesflow and trickle vents may be considered background ventilators**.
*You can find the specific requirements for hinged window standards of ventilation within Document F.
