No More Tie Bar
Previous conservatories required tie bars in order to maintain structural integrity. Now, with newer materials and with improved engineering, we no longer need to provide tie bars. In fact, we can now remove unsightly tie bars with Ultraframe’s Tie Bar Replacement Kit (TBRK).
With this kit, you’ll be able to offer customers updated conservatories that look attractive and sleek in design. The TBRK is the UK’s only effective solution to traditional tie bars.

The ridge’s deflection is reduced to almost nothing thanks to a bolster beam made of aluminium.
There is an ‘end stop’ made of cast aluminium at the eaves beam’s end, and it has slots for two anchor bolts to fasten to the host wall.
With the tie bar replacement kit, homeowners receive uninterrupted skyline views.
Roofing systems receive improved internal structural support with the tie bar removal kit.
The TBRK is perfect if homeowners want to update their conservatories, etc.

Why were tie bars used?
Tie bars were originally used to create one more method of structural support to prevent racking. Fortunately, now with superior design, we no longer need to use them.
How does it work?
The bolster beam runs the ridge length and integrates seamlessly with the main ridge structure.
This little piece of reinforcement in each starting bar guarantees that three anchor bolts are drilled into the host wall, preventing the aluminium bar from being crushed under extreme tension.
Additionally, this method provides extra support where the bar meets the eaves beam. Installers may set up the starting bars and hang them from the ceiling before connecting the main ridge body.
This is thanks to the Ridge Compression Plate at the end of the aluminium ridge body where it connects the house wall.
Why should we remove tie bars?
Tie bars are old fashioned and can be unsightly. Many homeowners prefer attractive and open views, especially if they have roof vents or shaped glazing.
Can you use more than one Tie Bar Removal Kit?
No. Unfortunately, the TBRK is only available to use on one tie bar in a structure.
